Phuong Tu Nguyen, Mr

Doctoral Student at Edge Hill University

Phuong Tu Nguyen (Tu, he/him) is a teacher-researcher in gender, sexuality and education. He holds an MA in education, gender and international development from University College London and is currently pursuing a PhD in education at Edge Hill University. His doctoral thesis critically examines the geography of young people’s sexuality education experiences, with particular attention to the politics of space, desire and intersectional inequalities. His recent research has explored the politics of gender, sexuality and neoliberal nationalism in textbook discourses, coproduction frameworks for reproductive health data policies, and the transnational circulation of comprehensive sexuality education policy discourse.
