Carrie-Anne Sturt

PhD Researcher at Edge Hill University

Carrie-Anne Sturt is a third-year PhD educational research student at Edge Hill University under the supervision of Dr David Allan and Dr Christina Donovan. She is also a lecturer of early years education at T-level and adult further education (FE) learners returning to education with level 1 and 2 online courses in special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and understanding children’s mental health.
Her doctoral thesis centres around the complexities and interconnectedness of FE and the internal/external systemic structures in place and how they can impact upon attitudes towards inclusive pedagogical practices for both teachers and leadership. She holds an Advance HE fellowship, an MSc in psychology and is a qualified FE teacher with SEND specialism.
