Dr Mariia Tishenina is an ESRC postdoctoral fellow at the University of Bristol. She recently earned a PhD in Educational Research from Edge Hill University and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), UK. Originally from Russia, she brings nearly a decade of experience in international and higher education, having worked in a range of teaching and managerial roles across the sector. She also holds an MSc in Comparative and International Education from the University of Oxford and a PGCert in Teaching in Higher Education. Her research interests include international student mobility, the internationalisation of higher education, international students’ adaptation and integration, and the subjectification and self-formation of students in the context of technological change.
