Matthew Greenhalgh, Mr

Graduate Teaching Assistant and PhD Researcher at Edge Hill University

Matthew Greenhalgh is a postgraduate researcher completing his PhD in education at Edge Hill University, funded through a Graduate Teaching Assistant studentship. The focus of his current study is the relationship between academic achievement and socioeconomic status: a multidisciplinary review of associated mechanisms of development. Building upon research review methodologies of scoping review, systematic review and meta-analysis, this work integrates knowledge graphs and data science techniques for a broad knowledge management approach that is novel to educational research. Matthew’s broader research interests span international comparative education (such as PISA and TIMMS), educational technologies (including artificial intelligence), links between personal, organisational and societal development, and mathematics education, curriculum and assessment.
