Chiara Colombo is a PhD researcher at Edge Hill University. Her research explores how educational and language policies are translated into practice with a focus on English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) further education learners and teachers. Her research interests include, but are not limited to, linguistic justice, social justice, critical education, antiracist education, critical social policy in education and public services, and policy enactment. She holds a BA and an MA in education. For the past decade, she has worked as an ESOL lecturer and community teacher, and has held roles across early years, primary, secondary, further and higher education.
