Kathryn Spicksley, Dr
Lecturer in Teacher Education at University of Glasgow
Dr Kathryn Spicksley is a Lecturer in Teacher Education at the University of Glasgow. Her current research is funded by a 2022 British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship and concerns the development of a playful mentoring intervention for early career teachers. Kathryn worked as an Early Years teacher for several years before undertaking a PhD at the University of Worcester, exploring the lived experiences and professional identities of early career teachers working in primary academy schools in England. Kathryn leads on Special Issues of the Â鶹ÒùÔº Blog and is Convenor for the Â鶹ÒùÔº Educational Research and Educational Policy-Making SIG. She is also on the editorial board of the campaigning journal Forum for Comprehensive Education.
