Dr Steven Watson is an Associate Professor in Transdisciplinary Studies at the University of Cambridge’s Faculty of Education and a Fellow of Wolfson College. His research spans sociology, philosophy, and education, with a particular focus on Autopoietic Ecology—an approach that examines how systems of meaning, technology, and practice evolve through interaction. He has extensive experience in mathematics education and teacher development, and his work explores how complex systems thinking can inform educational design, policy, and practice across disciplines.
