Michael Green is an education leader with more than 24 years’ experience across schools and higher education. He has held a range of senior leadership roles in schools, universities multi-academy trusts and previously served as one of Her Majesty’s Inspectors (HMI). He is still a practising Ofsted inspector, including of special schools. Michael currently works as Head of Quality Improvement Planning (Partners) at Buckinghamshire New University, where he leads work to strengthen quality assurance and improvement across academic partnerships. Alongside this role, he works as an independent education consultant, supporting schools, multi-academy trusts and higher education providers with improvement, governance and quality. He has a passion for inclusion and special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Michael project managed the opening of a special school for pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs and has also worked as a consultant supporting the opening of another special school in Greenwich.
