Dr Karen Foster is a science teacher and leads on initial teacher training at Pittville School in Cheltenham. She has previously held senior leadership roles in secondary education and at the Gloucestershire Initial Education Partnership (GITEP) and completed her PhD in Education and Social Justice studying teachers' attitudes to risk-taking at Lancaster University. Her research interests include teacher education and development, decolonising the secondary science curriculum.
