Debbie Kilbride

Senior Lecturer at University of East London

Debbie Kilbride is an experienced educator, academic and inclusion specialist with a career spanning primary education, senior leadership and higher education. She currently teaches across undergraduate, postgraduate and initial teacher education programmes within the School of Childhood and Social Care at the University of East London. For nine years, she served as course leader for the Postgraduate Certificate in SEN Coordination (NASENCo Award), leading curriculum design, teaching, assessment and quality assurance.
Debbie’s role also includes supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research projects and acting as professional tutor for teacher trainees, undertaking school-based observations, mentor liaison and assessment.
Her research and professional interests centre on SEND leadership, neurodiversity and inclusive practice. Most recently Debbie has published in the British Journal of Special Education, presented at Âé¶¹ÒùÔº conferences, and delivered workshops at both national and institutional levels.
