Balqis Mohammed's research interests lie in the fields of decolonial studies and social justice in education. Her PhD research investigated history teachers’ perspectives on the usefulness of creating a distinction between diversifying and decolonising. Balqis has recently coauthored a chapter with Dr Anna Olsson Rost and Professor Karen Pashby for The Â鶹ÒùÔº Guide to Decolonising the Curriculum. She also worked alongside Miles Smith on the Â鶹ÒùÔº special issue blog series following the Far away from the ivory tower project to expand on the significance of Lifelong Learning.
