Ofsted Research and Evaluation Team
The Research and Evaluation team at Ofsted delivers research and evaluation that informs inspection practice and helps assess Ofsted's impact. The team also manages Ofsted's engagement with inspection bodies, delegations and inspectorates from around the world. Working closely with policy and regional colleagues, the team investigates important issues across education and social care. It undertakes thematic research visits and uses a range of evidence-gathering approaches to deepen understanding of the sectors Ofsted inspects and identify opportunities for improvement. The team also commissions independent research and evaluation to strengthen the evidence base.
The team includes professionally accredited government researchers and analysts with expertise across a range of social research, evaluation and analytical disciplines.
