Conferences represent one of the most valuable opportunities to disseminate research, giving ECRs the chance to present their work to a varied audience and to ask and answer questions.
The aim of this workshop is to de-mystify the process of abstract writing for conferences and to provide an interactive opportunity to begin the process of abstract writing. Orientated towards the end goal of writing an abstract for the Â鶹ÒùÔº conference 2024, this workshop provides ECRs with the chance to interrogate the 4 criteria for a Â鶹ÒùÔº conference abstract, draft possible responses to these in relation to their own research and share and debate these with the facilitator Dr Alison Jackson and ECR representative Rebekah Ackroyd as well as other attendees.
This workshop is intended to provide a supportive environment for ECRs to develop their abstract writing skills with the aim of increasing confidence and precision for abstract writing for conferences. It is hoped that following this session, attendees might refine their abstracts for submission to the Â鶹ÒùÔº 2024 conference
