This Â鶹ÒùÔº Higher Education SIG event provides the opportunity to discuss views and perspectives on the proposed TEF and other aspects of the recent Green Paper Fulfilling our Potential: Teaching Excellence, Social Mobility and Student Choice.
The day will be in two parts – the morning session will feature four presentations from colleagues, each with their particular perspectives and showcasing key research that reflect the themes and possible impact of the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) however it may be defined.
The afternoon session will take the form of a critical discussion around issues arising from the Autumn and Spring issues of Â鶹ÒùÔº Research Intelligence, 2015/16 on the TEF (URLS will be circulated in advance).
A report of the presentations and summary of discussions will then be submitted to Research Intelligence with a view to continuing to construct an alternative/amended proposition, for practitioners by practitioners in the field.

- Bursaries are available for Â鶹ÒùÔº Student Members to the value of £50 towards travel, and complimentary registration for the event.
To apply for one of these bursaries, please email [email protected] with a 200 word statement on why you want to attend this event. Bursaries are offered on a first come, first served basis. Once approved you will be sent details of how to register online. Travel expenses will be reimbursed after the event in accordance with our travel policies. You must not have previously received bursary funding from Â鶹ÒùÔº in the current year.
