The Mathematics Education SIG aims to bring together researchers and practitioners interested in a wide range of issues involving the teaching and learning of mathematics, both inside and outside of formal educational settings. Our intention is to be inclusive and accessible for all researchers, both new and experienced, encouraging them to work together to develop ideas and methodologies.
This event aims to:
- facilitate networking amongst mathematics education researchers and practitioners
- encourage submissions to Â鶹ÒùÔº conference
- support newer researchers to write successful conference abstracts
Writing an abstract for submission in January for a conference in September can seem daunting to newer researchers, particularly when research is ongoing. In this session we share approaches to accomplish this and consider what makes an effective abstract. It will be helpful if participants familiarise themselves with Â鶹ÒùÔº conference session formats prior to the forum.
