Online event – pre-registration essential
The COVID-19 lockdown has highlighted the importance of the arts in providing social cohesion and wellbeing. From videos of socially distanced singing on balconies to painted NHS rainbows in windows, we have seen the value of creative pursuits for all ages. However, the pandemic has also posed a threat to the arts, with the closure of creative hubs such as schools, and the economic crisis faced by the creative industries.
This webinar will consist of presentations which had been originally scheduled for the Â鶹ÒùÔº 2020 Annual Conference.
We look forward to sharing this quality arts education research during this unique time, when the arts faces unprecedented challenges, and yet its importance has never been so clear. We would like to invite all presenters and attendees to consider how arts education provision can continue in social distancing, remote and blended learning environments, and how arts education research can respond to these changes. We hope to conclude the webinar with a discussion of this issue from our presenters and attendees.
